Here are some fun games to play with your kids on St Patty's Day!

Pin the Shamrock on the Leprechaun
This is an easy variation on Pin the Tail on the Donkey that fits the holiday theme. Hang a large picture of a leprechaun holding a pot of gold on a wall and blindfold one child. Spin the child around three times and point them in the general direction of the leprechaun. They can place their shamrock as they choose. The shamrock should have some tape on the back so it sticks in place. The child with the shamrock closes to the ‘pot’ wins.

Who Has the Coin?
Another fun Irish themed game is Who Has the Gold Coin. The players sit in a circle with one person standing in the center of the circle. That person must close their eyes while the players in the circle put their hands behind heir back. One of the kids should be holding a gold coin in their hands. When they are ready the person in the center can open their eyes and gets three guesses for who has the gold coin. It can be hard for the kids not to laugh and give it away. If they can’t guess they can try again or the person with the gold coin gets to stand in the middle and take a turn guessing. If they do guess they get to choose who stands in the middle.

These are just a couple of simple ideas for kids to have fun with St. Patrick’s Day this year.
